Cindy Shum OD

Dr. Cindy Shum, a true Vancouverite, graduated from the UBC in 1994 and then from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1998 with honours in optometry. Dr. Shum did her externship specialty training in pediatric eye care, rural and emergency eye care and diabetic ocular disease management.Dr. Shum has a special interest in myopia control, dry eye therapy, refractive surgery co-managment and teaching. She has been an associate clinical preceptor for Illinois, New England and Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the University of Waterloo.Having volunteered in Guatemala, Mexico and Tunisia, Dr. Shum has developed a love of providing humanitarian eye care. Her family has accompanied her on the eye care missions to learn about volunteering and different cultures including lecturing at the Mzuz School of Optometry in Malawi. She has volunteered with the North Shore Homelessness Task Force and local preschools to provide eye care and education. These many opportunities have inspired Dr. Shum to provide holistic eye care to those locally and globally.

Dr. Tony Wong, provides family vision care with interests in Custom fitted lenses, Dry Eye-Medical Eyecare and Childrens' Myopia Prevention. His dedication to lifelong learning is at the core of providing better patient care.A former Nova Scotian, Dr. Wong now resides in Deep Cove and often is spotted at local rinks and dance studios enjoying his kids' activities while staying active playing in all that North Shore outdoors offers.Knowing vision is critical to learning, Dr. Wong has raised the bar to provide the best standard of eye care for children in a fun and playful manner. In 20 year?s practice, Dr. Wong has enjoyed the privilege of seeing pediatric patients grow-up with optimal vision to become successful adults. His commitment to serve locally & globally has seen thousands of disadvantaged receive free vision care. Each event adds positively charged, life-impacting experiences that fuels Dr. Wong's dream of helping impact lives to enable all to see a better tomorrow.
